Synopsis

This is the behind-the-scenes drama of the Challenger disaster. We recreate the unfolding story from a year before that fateful day - a whole year in which, as the carefully chosen, highly skilled crew prepared for their flight, one concerned engineer was warning that the Space Shuttle system was a potential time bomb. But above all, this is a human story. It follows the hopes and fears of all those involved; the great dream of a future in space, and the very human failings which led to disaster.
